Heritage Bicycles General Store

When you choose a custom ride at Heritage Bicycle General Store, you have a few extra decisions to make—including regular or decaf. This Lakeview shop isn’t your typical bike store: It’s disguised as a coffee shop featuring Stumptown java and pastries by Southport Grocery. In addition to treats and bikes (which you can watch being built on site in the back of the café), the shop also features a small selection of clothing, gear and Winter Session accessories.

This cafe/bike shop is probably the most brilliant idea and well executed concept that I have ever seen!  If I lived closer this would definitely be where I would go to fix a flat however the perfect place for one person to have a cup of coffee after taking a little bike ride over to Lake View.  Excellent service and well trained baristas, beautiful pastries from Dollop and even the liege waffles from The Winchester.  Wonderful to see more of Farm to Fridge's products around town as well.  I think my favorite thing to do here is ditch my novel and pick up one of the Kinfolk or Edible magazines on the rack and skim the news while watching the bike mechanics.
