Manicure and pedicure deals at Chicago spas

Advertising

Your wish “I love getting mani/pedis at the spa but hate paying so much money when I know I could get decent ones at the salon down the street. Any tips for scoring a discount at nicer spas?” —Joseph K, Andersonville

Our command Oftentimes, spa discounts are just a mouse click away. For instance, log on to the site for Sir Spa (5151 N Clark St, 773-271-7000, sirspa.com) and you’ll find a number of coupons, including one for $10 off the Hand & Foot Detail treatment (normally $60). The hand detail includes a typical nail trimming and hand massage in the Andersonville spa’s upstairs lounge. But it’s the foot detail that will really have you saying “aah.” The treatment includes a relaxing sea-salt soak in a jet bath, followed by a marine-therapy foot scrub, exfoliation and massage. If you’re looking for a mani/pedi in the Loop, point your browser to Diana’s Nail and Spa (175 N Franklin St, 312-332-2662, diananailspa.com). Click on the “current specials” button on the spa’s home page, and you’ll be directed to a list of coupons, including one (which expires Wednesday 31) for a manicure and spa pedicure—regularly $40 for the combo—for $35 (as long as you pay cash). The spa recently upgraded the space with six new pedicure chairs that provide shiatsu back massages, so the service promises to be extra relaxing. If your feet are fine, but you’re still looking for some sort of mani combo, Salon Moka (1259 N Milwaukee Ave, 773-292-4100, salonmoka.com) offers a pretty sweet deal. The Wicker Park salon/spa includes plenty of specials on its website, such as a $10 manicure with any hair service (Men’s cuts start at $32, while women’s are $48 and up). And, of course, The Get’s Listings often include special spa deals for TOC readers.
