Huge warehouse full of every book you can imagine. Proceeds from your purchase go towards their literacy programs!

Part of the great West Loop nonprofit organization/bookstore that does literacy work for Chicago kids; this location is a cool place to browse for used books in Pilsen. Flat-prices for all adult and kids books makes it irresistible to treasure-hunt.

A WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL place to secure books for classrooms, literacy events and to grow personal libraries. Open Books does an excellent job of securing high quality text in both appearance, complexity and genre, leveling books and providing recommendations. The warehouse is truly a gem.

The best part about Open Books is that all their proceeds go to supporting the literacy programs they run, which support 5,000 Chicago students each year.

Open Books Pilsen Warehouse is one of the most unique bookstore in Chicago. Housing a collective of the best used books and also donating and using those books to enrich children throughout the city through various literacy programs this place is a multi-dimensional goodwill machine! Check it out sometime. So many great books to choose from!
