When it comes to bookstores, this place defines class. Not only can you browse books while sipping wine, but the staff recommendations are usually just what you want them to be: varied and idiosyncratic. Catch young area writers here the third Thursday of every month at Local Author Night, and be sure to check the website for the shop's full list of literary events!

Love this place! Support your local bookstore before we're all forced to wait for Amazon flying drones to drop books on our heads!
I went here before moving to the neighborhood and remember never wanting to leave. Now that I live in Lincoln Square I feel the same way when I walk in. The staff challenges me to read books of all genres and I am never disappointed...especially not with a glass of fine wine in my hand!
It's my home away from home. Fabulously curated shelves and super-fast special order service... Who needs Amazon when you can walk into a store with staff reviews throughout the store? The wines/beers are as carefully selected as the literature. The warm, beating heart, though, is Suzy, the owner.
Book Cellar is the neighborhood bookstore of my dreams! A great selection of books, cool events, cozy nooks to sit, a welcoming, helpful staff, and wine and food to enjoy while you read.
