The Stoop

Sasha Shver and Alex Sheehan quit their jobs in Brooklyn and moved to Ukrainian Village to be closer to family in 2021, opening a vintage shop that helps customers discover the joy of secondhand shopping. Filled with furniture, plants, home wares and clothing (Shver formerly worked in the fashion industry), the Stoop offers a treasure trove of pieces found at local estate sales and auctions. Look for the wide-eyed neon face in the shop's window and stop in to browse on weekends—or call and make an appointment if you need to buy an old designer couch during the week.
