W Hotel’s Workouts by the Water
When Mondays–Thursdays through Labor Day, 6–7am

The 411 Led by W general manager Heather Steenge-Hart and NBC5 fitness expert Saran Dunmore, each day features a different regimen. Monday focuses on cardio, Tuesday is all about strength training, Wednesday combines cardio and strength training, and Thursday features a more playful workout. The classes occur rain or shine, and the hotel provides all the fitness accessories.
Price Free for hotel guests as well as the public, and an R.S.V.P. isn’t required

Self Workout in the Park
When May 15, 11am–3pm

The 411 The women’s magazine returns to Chicago for a one-day-only event featuring a variety of workouts (including Pilates, ab and cardio sessions), beauty and style consultations and gourmet samples. This year features yoga trainer Mandy Ingber (who regularly works with Jennifer Aniston) and a special appearance by Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos, who’ll share her favorite fitness secrets.
Price $20; register online or purchase a ticket (cash only) on-site the day of the event

Millennium Park Workouts
When Saturday mornings (June 5–September 11), 7–11am

The 411 This popular summer workout series returns with a ton of options for getting fit. Expect classes taught by experts from Stirling Tai Chi Society (each Saturday at 7am), Core Chicago Pilates (July 17, 24, 31 at 9am) and Soulistic Studio (August 28, September 4, 11 at 9am). Find the complete lineup at the park’s website. A new addition this year is live music played during the yoga and Pilates classes.

Bootcamp Fitness
When Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 6:30–7:30pm starting June 7
Where Lincoln Park (classes meet on Cannon Drive, across from North Pond Cafe)
The 411 This program (sponsored by Chicago Sport and Social Club and Bulldog Bootcamp Co.) is all about getting fit the old-fashioned way: via sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups and running, over the course of 36 classes. The program increases intensity with each class, so as your fitness level improves, the workouts get harder. New sessions start every four weeks. Price $250 per person (includes a T-shirt)
