Going for a lounge vibe, the South Loop outpost of John Allan's famous NYC grooming club is situated on the top floor of a high rise adjoining the Chicago Board of Trade and features a bar, pool table, flat-screen TVs, plush leather chairs and an outdoor terrace. Of course, the real reason for hanging out here is to take advantage of the spalike services. For $720 a year, men can join the club and visit anytime; nonmembers can make appointments for a facial ($78), pedicure ($49) or signature package ($65) that includes a haircut, a shampoo (with a scalp massage), a little hot-towel action, a manicure and a shoeshine.
