When proprietress Janet Doherty left her native Ireland eight years ago, she shed her Gaelic name, Sinead, and took Janet, the Yankee translation. Doherty stuck to her roots when she christened her new Lakeview spa, but the Celtic flavor is most evident in her lilting brogue, which adds an extra kick of comfort to her pampering arsenal. The spa is on the first floor of a two-flat and is warm and welcoming, like a friend's uncluttered living room, but not overly hedonistic. Besides facials and body treatments (average $80), the spa offers spot services to renew eyes and hydrate lips.
