The blush-pink walls, crystal chandeliers, gilded mirrors and vintage furniture that decorate makeup artist Sonia Roselli’s Rogers Park shop are almost as charming as her Southern twang and her insistence that everybody getting their makeup done don a black feather boa. She’s a girl’s girl, and Esthétique is “girl heaven,” Roselli says. The Alabama native’s first storefront after 22 years in the business offers airbrush makeup applications, custom facials, airbrush tanning, and brow, lip and facial waxing. But it’s the Gloss Bar that’s sure to inspire a girls-night-out: Choose from 120 color bases to create a custom-blended lipstick or gloss, then add a flavor ranging from bubble gum to pomegranate.
