The company may be expanding into city domination, but it's all about quality control at the Sofo outpost of From the Center Pilates. Like the staffs at its sister studios in Lincoln Park and Lakeview, all instructors have completed intensive certification workshops and are big sticklers for body positioning and move execution. “We don't do the pre-packaged group fitness Pilates classes you'll find at a gym,” owner and instructor Patrick O'Brien says. Meticulous attention to detail is also reflected in the studio's soothing design: O'Brien has created an airy, bright space with soft teal walls, white lofted ceilings and maple floors. A Hyde Park location is scheduled for later this Fall. Luckily, this is one chain that will never cut corners.
