45 Plays for America’s First Ladies

Kicking off its 32nd season of programming, Chicago-based experimental theater company the Neo-Futurists collaborate with ensembles in New York and San Francisco on a series of plays that examine the "honorary" office of First Lady. Much like the Neo-Futurists' signature show The Infinite Wrench, its latest creation 45 Plays for America’s First Ladies is made up of 45 miniature plays (no longer than five minutes) with varying styles and tones that chronologically explores how women and other marginalized individuals have made their mark on America throughout history. With the Neo-Futurarium closed for live performances, this fast-paced production is only available to stream online before Election Day.
