Battlefield

The celebrated director Peter Brook made an impact in the mid-1980s with his nine-hour theatrical adaptation of the Mahabharata. He returns to that epic narrative in a far more concise way with this new production, which adapts a central episode from the Sanskrit sacred text into a 70-minute staging, which arrives at the MCA in a co-presentation with Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
