Following nearly a year and a half in which it offered no full productions of plays, Chicago Dramatists this week announced two premieres for an abbreviated 2015 season.

Artistic director Russ Tutterow will helm Rohina Malik's The Mecca Tales (March 13–April 12), a look at five American Muslim women attending the Hajj, the pilgrimage that every Muslim is expected to complete at least once in their lifetimes.

Later, Henry Godinez will stage A Work of Art (June 26–July 26), a new piece by Elaine Romero about a woman still struggling to come to grips with her brother's death in the Vietnam War.
