Northwestern University, Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts

The performance home of the university's School of Communication, Department of Theatre and Department of Performance Studies was renamed in 2014 for Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz, a 1924 Northwestern graduate and the grandmother of Chicago Blackhawks chairman Rocky Wirtz. A subscription series is offered for the Wirtz Center's mainstage productions, which are directed by faculty members, third-year M.F.A. students and guest artists.
