Even amongst the competitive ranks of pro athletes, tennis stars have a reputation for being uber-intense. In The Last Match, playwright Anna Ziegler (Photograph 51) chronicles the on- and off-court dramas that surround a high-stakes match between an up-and-coming Russian player and an American superstar. Fresh off her sharp-elbowed revival of Top Girls, director Keira Fromm is helming the play for Writers Theatre.
