The Prom

In an attempt to drum up some good publicity for themselves, a troupe of washed-up Broadway actors descend upon small-town Indiana to champion the cause of a high school girl whose prom was cancelled when she tried to bring her girlfriend as a date. A tale of culture clashes and the triumph of love over bigotry ensues as the touring production of this musical comedy-drama—which was adapted into a Netflix movie in 2020—arrives in Chicago for a limited-engagement stint at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
