Pulse Theatre Chicago presents a revival of Edward Albee’s 1962 drama in which miserable marrieds George and Martha terrorize bright-eyed newlyweds Nick and Honey over late-night drinks. Coming on the heels of the Albee estate’s controversial refusal to allow Nick to be played by a black actor in an Oregon production earlier this year, Pulse’s staging offers an African-American George and Martha.
