This South Side beach features amazing views of the Chicago skyline in addition to a harbor for small boats. A nearby park includes a picnic area and a public fishing dock. Amenities: concessions, restrooms, lockers, life guard first aid station, playground.

The Seuss-like playground is wavy and curvy with lots of things to climb on: monkey bars, slides, net-like things. Kids love the rail slide, in which you slide down on/between two rails.

This is a great beach if you just want to get away, plus it has lovely views of the city in the distance. It's quiet here, not all the amenities you might be used to from other beaches, but honestly, who needs all of that when you have the lake?

31st street beach is a small, quiet beach. If you just want to relax on the sand it is a good place to go but it is not the best place to swim and there is not as much entertainment as you can find at North or Montrose beach.
