American Writers Festival

Hear presentations from Rebecca Makkai, Joy Harjo, Viet Thanh Nguyen and dozens of other writers at the inaugural American Writers Festival, a free, one-day symposium hosted by the American Writers Museum. For the festival's debut, more than 75 authors, artists and playwrights will gather at the museum and nearby Chicago Cultural Center to present talks about their work as it relates to issues like racism, censorship, immigration and other hot-button topics. Plus, the American Writers Museum will offer free admission to its collection of writerly materials on Sunday and Monday!
