Chicago Japanese Matsuri Festival

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya and the Japanese Culture Center team up to present a traditional Japanese festival at the NEWCITY shopping center, complete with food and entertainment. Kizuki will be serving traditional dishes like chicken karaage on a stick, takoyaki (Japanese octopus dumpling), potato croquettes, gyoza and pork chashu don throughout the three-day event. On Saturday and Sunday, you'll also be able to take a tour of the Kizuki restaurant and make your own ramen creation for $20. A stage at the festival will host taiko drumming, cosplaying, sword demonstrations, calligraphy performances and live music.
