Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.

Celebrate poetry, music and all things creative at the fourth annual Chicago Poetry Block Party, a free, all-ages event that's loaded with live tunes, poetry readings, writing workshops, visual art activities and games for the entire family. Attendees will enjoy performances from the likes of Lester Rey, DÉCIMA, avery r. young and the CPBP House Band directed by Ayanna Woods—along with other award-winning poets from across the country. Or show off your skills at the event's open mic. Presented by the Poetry Foundation and Crescendo Literary, the Chicago Poetry Block Party also offers food-truck eats and booths from local organizations like Broadway Youth Center and Pilsen Alliance.
