What the W Hotel’s little sister, aloft, lacks in hip real estate—sorry, but Rosemont can’t quite compete with Lake Shore Drive or the Loop—it makes up for in spades with slick monikers like “re:fuel” for the dining area and “re:charge” for the fitness center. The 251-room hotel “takes its DNA from the W” but offers rooms at a fraction of the cost (rooms average $109–$259 a night). A morning hot bar and 24-hour to-go station stocked with quick bites such as sandwiches and Naked juices take the place of a full-service restaurant, but a swanky bar, w xyz, pours cocktails for the O’Hare crowd. *High-speed internet (free wireless in public spaces & in rooms).
