Heather McGhee: The Sum of Us

Chicago-born author Heather McGhee examines how racism takes a toll on everyone during this free discussion presented by the Chicago Humanities Festival. Her latest book, The Sum of Us, explores how a historic combonation of racism and greed has given way to the current societal climate in America, where people are still reckoning with the divisions that have been ingrained in the places where we all live and work. McGhee will be joined in conversation by Helene D. Gayle, CEO of The Chicago Community Trust.
