Lakeview Polar Bear Club Polar Plunge

The Lakeview Polar Plunge may not draw mayors and late night TV hosts, but the annual event is every bit as cold. Billed as a "Celebration of Shrinkage", the event challenges brave souls to take a dip in Lake Michigan at the end of January while raising funds to help families in need. Post-plunge, shivering swimmers can head to Hopsmith Tavern for the event's official afterparty.
