FREE Design Harvest, Oct 2, 3 Grand Ave between Damen Ave and Wood St (westtownchamber.org). 11am–7pm. Discover a mixture of vintage, antique, environmentally conscious and modern design items at this marketplace. While checking out the local goods, listen to live music.
FREE Ravenswood ArtWalk, Oct 2, 3 Ravenswood Ave between Montrose Ave and Irving Park Rd (ravenswoodartwalk.org). 11am–6pm. The studio walk features works by dozens of neighborhood artists, musicians, dancers and poets.
* FREE Chicago Country Music Festival, Oct 8, 9 Millennium Park, N Michigan Ave at Randolph St (explorechicago.org). 11am–9pm. This annual hootenanny might not draw massive crowds like other City of Chicago music fests, and that’s a shame—it always has a great lineup of new and classic country acts. Millennium Park is the new setting for this year’s free festival of country music.
Decibelle, Oct 14–16 Various locations around Chicago (decibelle.org). Thu, Fri 8pm–2am; Sat 6pm–3am; $5–$20. Hit up this gay but straight-friendly music fest formerly known as Estrojam. The fete supplies tunes, including underground phenomenon Nola Sissy Bounce, along with workshops and panel discussions. Check the website for venue and workshop info.
