Oktoberfest at Metropolitan Brewing

The Avondale brewery is getting in on the Oktoberfest fun on September 23. In addition to the regular lineup of German-style lagers, expect specialty pours like a Basic Burner PSL (pumpkin-spiced lager) plus sausages from The Little Pickle, pretzels from Hardbitten Bakery, tacos from Arigato Market, vegan snacks from Libby’s Corner Chicago and barbecue from Soul & Smoke. Those who want to test their might can enter a stein hoisting competition, where they’ll be tasked with holding a five-pound glass for as long as possible.
