Gather with fellow lit lovers and find some cozy new reads at Semicolon's first-ever Fall Lit Fest, a one-day block party (on Division Street from Paulina Street to Wood Street) complete with author appearances, local vendors, food trucks and—of course—plenty of books. Hear talks from writers like The School for Good Mothers author Jessamine Chan and Chicago-based poet Julian Randall, shop handmade goods and dine on snacks from Soul & Smoke, Beavers Doughnuts, Tacomotora and more. Entrance to the fest is free, but all proceeds from $235 VIP tickets—which include unlimited cocktails and goodie bags stocked with books—go toward Parenthesis, Semicolon's nonprofit that helps expand literacy for kids across the city.
