The Newberry Library hosts this virtual event about one of the largest migration movements in American history, in which millions of Black Americans moved from their homes in the South to find opportunities in the north, Midwest and West during the 20th century. History professors Matthew Cressler, Courtney Pierre Joseph and and Lionel Kimble will gather to discuss new ideas and perspectives on the movement.
