Listen, Chicago. You’re busy soaking in those precious, last drops of summer. Meanwhile, that auburn blaze of fall foliage keeps looming closer, reminding you: there’s only so little time left. So you need a drink that comes as prepared as you are to make every day count.

Meet Javi’s Ranch Water, your new best friend. This 100% agave tequila-based seltzer—this liquid gold in a can—gives it to you clean and simple. No fermented cane sugar, no malted barley. Just premium tequila blanco, sparkling mineral water, and natural flavors.

Since there’s no time to waste, Chicago, let’s give you a taste of where you need to hit the town before the leaves drop.

Let's keep it going, Chicago

Perched on the northernmost tip of Lincoln Park, Osterman Beach—or Hollywood Beach to us locals—is a haven for gentle waters and picturesque flocks of migratory birds in the changing seasons. Imagine yourself lying out on those soft sands, thinking of your bestie Javi, and taking in the view of serene Lake Michigan while Chicago's stunning skyline rises behind you. And as Chicago's unofficial LGBTQ+ beach, there is no coastline oasis without a little pride. So grab your towel, call up your best Judy, and be resilient in the idea that every day can be, and will be, a beach day.

No stranger to Time Out, we voted Chicago Loop Alliance's Sundays on State one of the "Best New Events in 2021," and the award-winning event is back for round two! For the remaining Sundays this summer, Chicago's iconic State Street (from Lake Street to Monroe Street) transforms into a giant, neighborhood block party, and everyone's invited. This confluence of Chicagoans celebrating performance art, local-vendor shopping, and outdoor dining is enough to make you say, "Hey, let's go see if our bestie Javi is here." And trust us, this is a walk (down State Street) to remember.

As your bestie Javi would tell you, good art can also be quite refreshing. And where better to feel both quenched and invigorated than at Art on theMART along the Chicago Riverwalk? The largest permanent digital art projection in the world, this display of contemporary artwork plays out across theMART's 2.5 acre facade, and it is quite simply the crown jewel of public art by both local and international multi-disciplinary artists. Current projections can be seen nightly at 9:00pm and 9:30pm, and the pieces are: explore, by Jonas Denzel, audio by Sören Schaudel; Billiken, by Shkunna Stewart and Wills Glasspiegel; and Ba Boom Boom Pa Pop Pop, by Nick Cave.

You LOVE a good movie musical. Why wouldn't you? In fact, you've been practicing your best Freddie Mercury in the mirror all day. Well, now it's time to catch the show up on the big screen at Movies at Gallagher Way. This free, outdoor movie screening series takes place just next door to Wrigley Field, and their movie selections are nothing short of a home run. Pack a picnic, check out the on-site concessions to see if your best Javi is hanging out, and get cozy on the plaza before the movie starts at 7:30pm. Don't miss the remaining movies this season: Almost Famous, Selena, and Bohemian Rhapsody.
