This blockbuster exhibition features hundreds of works from Austrian and Croatian artists during the 'fin de siècle' (the end of the 19th century.) Zagreb's art scene was massively influenced by Vienna at the turn of the century, and 'Modern Challenge, Zagreb – Vienna 1900' showcases works by Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann Bukovac and Ivan Mestrovic alongside a cannon of Croatian artists psychically influenced by Viennese cultural life during this twenty-year period.
