You can usually start grading a pub before you sit down, just looking at the clientele which inhabit it. That Pivnica Pivac's clientele are not all tourists should give you a good sign. Located just by the main promenade, this bar offers nice views and the best range of beers in Makarska (although the menu may at times frustrate you by offering some which aren't available). They stay open until 2am and with their uncommonly good music playlist it's quite easy to stay until closing time. Also a good place for morning coffee too.
