On the main square, this Jelsa institution has a plain interior, and an expansive terrace where all the action happens. Named after the local snub-nosed lizard, Tarentela has generated a community of regulars over the last few years, a fine collection of CDs and peppy staff – crazy Mario and the crew – overseen by progressive bar owner Dominic. Chilled by day, cool for cocktails at sundown and absolutely ideal pre-club.
