Croatian Design Superstore has teamed up with coffee maestros Franck company to open a mobile coffee shop. You can see the station sitting outside the Design Superstore on Marticeva, in the midst of Design District festival events.

The sleek looking cafe-on-wheels was designed by Draga Komparak. It may be a pretty modern concept, but Franck has a long history: originally opened in Zagreb's Vodovodna Street in 1892, it was a food production complex, one of the first major food industry facilities in Croatia. The factory's architecture harks back to Zagreb's industrial period. The company were also behind the revamp of Café Johann Franck in the city's main square - now one of the most lively cafés in the centre.

“This conceptual solution of the mobile station is designed to reflect the centuries-old tradition, but also Franck’s contemporary spirit and innovative focus.", said Kristijan Gregorić, director of Franck’s marketing and development.

You can grab a coffee from the mobile café while you flit between Design District happenings - the festival is in full swing, with talks, workshops, exhibitions and performances all over the east central streets until Sunday.
