Independent cinema Tuškanac waxes red, white and blue for five days of beautiful films. The programme, put together with the help of the French Insitute, is part of the Rendez-vous festival which sees towns and cities across Croatia turn Francophile for the month.
Jour de Fête is the first film on the bill - it's a charming comedy about a postman in a provincial French town, who's big on ambition, low on luck, and always the butt of the joke. Some more recent hits follow, such as director Jean-Paul Rouvea's touching family dramedy Memories. And for little cinephiles, the Saturday matinee will be animated film Gus, which tells the story of a small yellow bird on a huge, heroic journey.
