Owners Davor and Lilian Božanić have built a tiny solar- and wind-powered village of bungalows nestled into old wine terraces atop a secluded cove, moments from the sea on Biševo. They prepare dinners with the vegetables they grow and the seafood they catch. It’s something of a five-star camping experience, like going into the wild with your own porters, but it should be noted that this is not for people unwilling to be in the elements. Shelters of canvas, wood and stone have double beds and the owners relish the opportunity to share experiences with guests and show them around their island.
