Operatic pop-queen Sarah Brightman shined as a protégé of West End titan Andrew Lloyd Weber in the first season of Cats in 1981. She's since toured endless opera halls, arenas and cathedrals, and sold millions of records - as a doyenne of the contemporary-classical crossover genre, her huge warbling voice chimes as fluently with Italian opera as it does with songs by Tom Jones.
