Flag Art Zagreb will be held across three locations in Croatia's capital: the European Square (Europski trg), Zrinjevac, and the main Square of Ban Josip Jelačić (Trg bana Josipa Jelačića).

Beautiful and diverse artistic flags will add splashes of colour to Zagreb from August 10 to 22 this year.

About Flag Art Zagreb, 2020

Flag Art 2020 in Zagreb was a success despite the year's challenging conditions.

Valuable and original works of art made in various techniques could be seen in the following locations: Ban Josip Jelačić Square (beginning of Bakačeva), Zrinjevac, the European Square and Augusta Cesarca Street.

In the very centre of the city, 260 artistic flags from about 20 countries of the world were exhibited in 2020. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 45 artists with 52 art flags from 13 countries (Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Finland, Croatia, India, Italy, Canada, Russia, the USA, Slovenia, Serbia and Uruguay) applied.

The guest of honour was versatile contemporary artist and distinguished ceramicist Hanibal Salvaro from Zagreb.

Boris Ljubičić designed the 2020 festival logo, advertising flag, and large banner. He won first place at the first-ever Flag Art Festival in 2009, with the theme "Ulica i ja" (The Street and Me).
