Recently passed away at the age of 59, Compton rapper is best known in Croatia for his starring role in the award-winning debut feature by Arsen Anton Ostojić. Taking place over the course of New Year’s Eve, A Wonderful Night in Split involves three parallel plots showing the darker side of the Dalmatian port, with controversial Croatian singer Dino Dvornik and Coolio as the main characters. Filming took place in 2004.
Sadly neither Dino nor Coolio are with us, but the American rapper leaves behind a serious body of work, including hit albums It Takes a Thief and Gangsta’s Paradise, and numerous film appearances.
