The ingenious tourist semi-submarines of Croatian boatbuilders Agena Marin have been a big hit at Boulevard World, the huge theme park currently attracting families for the holiday season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Running until January 22, Boulevard World features the world’s largest LED sphere and man-made lagoon, around which glide Agena Marin’s three fire-red vessels. Their glass bottoms allow passengers to observe the giant octopuses, sharks and turtles below, while on deck, light and video installations entertain visitors.

Built in a record time of three months, the semi-submarines have been joined by a TaxiCat catamaran and Solar Ferry, a solar- and electric-powered boat in an attractive retro design.

“As an R&D company, Agena Marin constantly develops new designs and business concepts,”. says company director, Mladen Peharda. “Discussions for attractive new projects are already underway.”
