As the 'Beast from the East' continues to plague the Adriatic with subfreezing temperatures and stinging red fingertips, cold-weather sufferers can take solace in today's rather more positive weather outlook. Forecasters are predicting that temperatures will hit up to 15 degrees in Dubrovnik on Saturday. That's warm enough to go out in a t-shirt. Now, we don't want to jinx it, but it looks like sunnier spring days are just around the corner.
As the cold spell tightens its grip, snowfall is predicted in Zagreb until Saturday. Zagreb will reach 8°C on Sunday, with lovely clear blue skies and highs of 15°C expected on the coast. While the polar vortex is yet to plunge the depths of its icy spell (that'll be tomorrow when the temperature drops to -16°C in the capital) this is uplifting news for those tired of trudging through Siberian winds and slipping up on grey ice.
