This Saturday, August 12, the historic Istrian port of Rovinj will be marking St Lawrence Night with live music and street dancing by romantic torchlight, as well as rides by a traditional batana boat.

The permanent exhibition at the Batana Ecomuseum will be open until midnight. From 9pm, groups play at main squares around Rovinj, including Trg Maršala Tita and Trg brodogradilišta, both close to the waterfront. For more information, see here.

On Thursday, the actual saint’s day of August 10, acclaimed Istrian band Gustafi play a show in the main square of Premantura, near Pula. For more information, see here.
