The days of running breathlessly along Split's harbour in order to catch a ferry with a printed ticket in your hand are over - thankfully, as Jadrolinija has introduced a new mobile app which allows you to buy tickets and display them on your phone. The ferry company has joined the 21st century, making overseas journeys to the islands a lot easier. The new app also displays ferry schedules and up-to-date information on delays and traffic.
According to Croatia Week, Jadrolinija runs over 600 departures a day in the summer season and the most common routes provide a 24-hour service. Jadrolinija transports more than 12 million passengers and 3 million vehicles a year: 80 percent of all passenger and vehicle sea traffic in Croatia.
