UK actress Kate Beckinsale is currently filming her latest action thriller, Canary Black, in Zagreb. In her role as CIA agent Avery Graves, dressed in trademark black, the London-born Hollywood star was captured by PIXSELL photographer Matija Habljak when she was about to fly up on a drone. She was then seen hanging from it over the roofs of the Croatian capital.
The award-winning actress, who will turn 50 next birthday, also dangled from a building shaft and ran along a roof. In the chilly dark of the late-night film shoot, she shared jokes with the film crew and seemed to be enjoying making her latest movie, which comes a year after Beckinsale picked up a UK National Film Award for her lead role in Jolt.
Canary Black is a spy thriller directed by Pierre Morel, best known for his hugely successful movie Taken starring Liam Neeson. Croatia is becoming a go-to location for major film projects – in summer, Beckinsale’s compatriot Kate Winslet was on location in Dubrovnik, shooting a wartime drama.
