Just launched by state ferry company Jadrolinija, the high-speed catamaran Dubravka will be zipping between the major ports of Rijeka and Zadar this summer. The service runs six days a week, leaving Rijeka at 7am and Zadar at 4pm or 4.30pm. Journey time is around five hours, longer if the catamaran calls at Rab, Veli Lošinj and Novalja on Pag en route.
If you’re flying into Zadar or Rijeka, the service might be handy to nip to Novalja, a main site for many Croatian music festivals this summer.
Although the service is only operating until August 31, it might be extended until later in September.
