A sleek new car, designed and produced in Croatia, the Rimac Nevera, has just been put on show in Manhattan after its first sale to a Croatian customer. The lucky owner happens to be a Croatian neurosurgeon based in New Jersey, Dr Branko Škovrlj, who naturally invited its inventor over to America to present his creation for himself.

Founder and CEO of the Rimac group which produced the Nevera, Mate Rimac is responsible for this bespoke vehicle, with its hand-built assembly and meticulous wiring. Having tested out his car around the leading racetracks of Europe, Rimac is now looking to offer the Nevera to select customers such as Dr Škovrlj, who personally visited the factory outside Zagreb to outline his specifications.

Plans now call for a larger headquarters to be built, capable of accommodating more than the 2,000 people currently employed by the company.
