Czech travel company RegioJet has just announced the reintroduction of night trains between Prague and Rijeka this summer. With Croatia now part of the border-free Schengen zone, the journey should be even smoother when compared with last year’s successful season.

Trains will run from three times a week from June 16 until September 30, leaving Prague at 4.45pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Rijeka at 10.40am. They return from Rijeka at 2.55pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The route also calls at Brno and Bratislava.

A standard ticket in a six-berth compartment starts at around €50. Larger, more expensive sleepers will also be available.

RegioJet will also be laying on connecting buses from Ogulin and Rijeka to the Adriatic coast, and direct ones from Prague to Split until August 31.
