Two years ago, Radio Tvornica was born. An offshoot of the popular Zagreb venue Tvornica Kulture ('Culture Factory'), the digital station has been on a mission to promote innovative music and cultural events emerging on the scene, both local and international. Now, after a second successful year of operations, they’ve lined up four regional bands to mark their birthday for a high-energy concert taking place tonight, January 26, at Tvornica Kulture.

KOIKOI are an indie-rock outfit from Serbia, who dropped their debut album in 2021. They describe themselves as “genre-fluid, ass-moving and mood-swinging”, and have played a number of the biggest festivals across former Yugoslavia. They’ll be joined by Zagreb locals Klinika Denisa Kataneca, a beloved band in the capital’s alternative scene who packed out Tvornica Kulture to promote their second album in 2023.

Punk rockers Smrdljivi Martini are also taking to the stage. The trio formed while still at school in December 2021, with the hope of being able to play the Superval festival for teenagers. Their music has already seen them play most of Zagreb’s key nightlife venues, delighting with their self-described “clever, but also stupid jokes”, and high-octane energy. Rounding out the line-up is Dža ili Bu, the alt-rock veterans from Belgrade who have been going strong since forming in 1987.

Where: Tvornica Kulture, Šubićeva 2
When: January 26, 8pm
Tickets: €14, available here.
