In its annual global poll, influential travel platform KAYAK has put Croatia near the top of its exhaustive list of best destinations for digital nomads. Of the 111 countries listed in KAYAK’s Work from Wherever Index, Croatia ranks 11th, just below Germany and above Australia. Criteria include health & safety, and social opportunities. Top place went to Portugal.
Launched in 2004, global travel platform KAYAK now has 16 international offices and more than 1,000 employees. Compilers of its influential listing, the Work from Wherever Index, consider 22 factors when drawing up their global ratings.
Croatia scored heavily in terms of culture and English proficiency, and for health & safety, with political stability and air quality both a key plus.
