Climbing up this grubby staircase at the tip of Tkalčićeva is something of a rabbit-hole experience: sitting incongruously at the top is one of Zagreb’s trendiest drinking spots. Decked out in hued tones, modish suede furnishings and wacky paraphernalia, with murals by cult Zagrebian street artist OKO, Frizer za dame is a seriously hip hang-out. The low-key jazz soundtrack makes a hospitable hum, heating up a bit at weekends with the pitter-pattering of deep house. There’s a bistro/tapas menu and great views of the bar-street if you get a window-side table.
