Konoba Stare Užance

Inside an old stone house in Premantura, a young couple pamper a few lucky guests every evening. With only four tables indoors and precious more in the garden, reservation is essential. Sanja and Sandro Frančula strive to give customers the best an Istrian-style konoba can provide. It’s an informal restaurant with hearty fare, including truffles with bacon or cheese; local pršut; manestra bean soup; and supa, a bukleta jug of warm red wine, toast, pepper, olive oil and sugar. Fresh seafood includes fish grilled over a fire, cuttlefish and octopus salads.
